MINNEAPOLIS March 19, 2019 Earl Thompson, ABD, executive director and Jack Baker, PhD, senior research analyst, of the Analytics team will share new HealthFitness research in three separate presentations at the 2019 Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference held April 3-5 at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa in Hilton Head Island, SC.
The research includes both examples of how HealthFitness has improved the health of a given population as well as practical application of analytics to meet varied business objectives.

- New Analytic Tools to Support Proactive Client Engagement: Demographic Forecasts of Population Health Dynamics (Research Report) – April 3, 11 a.m.-12:05 p.m. Baker will use results from a Book of Business study population to offer illustrations of how wellness and health promotion organizations may incorporate the use of demographic forecasts in strategic planning and client engagement.
- Analytics and the Wellness Industry: In Order to Form a More Perfect Union (Breakout Session) – April 4, 11 am.-12:05 p.m.; April 5, 1:45-2:50 p.m. Thompson and Baker will show examples of how analytics is used in other industries, how it could be applied to wellness, various barriers to acceptance, and what it will take to go to a future where the power of analytics is properly leveraged.
- Innovations in the Analysis of Establishing Wellness and Health Promotion Program Effectiveness (Poster) – On display April 4, 8 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Baker will show associations between wellness and health promotion program participation and improved health risk.
