HealthFitness to Sponsor HERO University Summit; Present at HERO Forum2019

August 27, 2019

MINNEAPOLIS August 27, 2019 HealthFitness is pleased to announce its strong presence at the HEROForum19, September 10-12 in Portland, Ore. The company will be sponsoring the HERO University Summit on Monday, Sept. 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. And on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 2:40 p.m. Andrea Zack and Tracy Rodriguez, HealthFitness senior directors, client strategy & growth, will lead a breakout session along with their respective clients – Boston Scientific Production Supervisor Dan Dehmer and Keenan Vice President for Health Management Robin Rager, Ph.D. An annual event hosted by the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO), the Forum brings together health and well-being professionals to network, share knowledge, and learn from top experts in the industry.

University Summit 2019 Theme: “Inspiring Well-Being Through Community, Social Connections and Environmental Supports”
The theme of this year’s seventh annual HERO University Summit is “Inspiring Well-Being Through Community, Social Connections and Environmental Supports.” Meaningful social connectedness and a strong sense of community are integral aspects of a vibrant, healthy university. Developing the fabric of a university community impacts employee health across a spectrum of measures — from combatting loneliness, to influencing emotional well-being, to supporting traditional indicators of physical health, such as nutrition and activity level. Attendees will have plenty of opportunities for networking and learning the best practices supporting well-being in higher education.

Breakout Session to Focus on Customizing Well-Being Approaches to Specific Client Populations
In alignment with this year’s HERO Forum19 focus on “Thriving Organizations: Achieving Well-Being Through Collaboration,” Zack, Rodriguez and their respective clients will provide insight on customizing well-being approaches to specific client populations. Zack and Dermer will demonstrate how an innovative injury prevention and treatment program helped medical specialists working in the Boston Scientific Maple Grove, Minn. facility address issues before they became more serious medical concerns. And Rodriguez and Rager will share examples of how the collaborative partnership between HealthFitness and Keenan has resulted in significant positive outcomes related to participation, engagement and risk reduction for a number of Keenan’s California-based clients, including healthcare systems, schools, and public agencies.
